Hi,

As the title says, is there a way to stop Edge updates for a desired period of time?

The purpose is to stop Edge updates until the operation can be confirmed if the company's internal system does not work after an Edge update.

Kind Regards,

Toru

    Hi @Toru-san ,

If you need to stop Edge update during a desired period of time within each day, you may take a look at the group policy UpdatesSuppressed. You can specify a particular time period within each day when Edge update shouldn't auto-check for update.

If you need to stop Edge update for a few days, unfortunately there's no group policy for it. I'm afraid you have to first stop Edge update via UpdateDefault --> Updates disabled (0), and then re-enable Edge update when everything's OK.

    Hi @Anonymous

    Thank you for contacting us.

I'm using Windows 10, but there is no Edge Update item in my current group policy.

I received similar advice from another person, but there is no group policy and no registry setting items.

This is just a guess, but I think it's because Edge's security policy requires it to be updated once a month.

The reason we need to stop it this time is because a bug in the Edge version could affect our internal system, so we need to temporarily refrain from using the latest version until the bug is resolved.

I will start by investigating the issue on my own. Thanks.

    Kind Regards,

    Toru
