hyper v devices are not connecting or communicating with each other

I have created two VMs on my Hyper V for lab set up named as A and B Both are having windows 10 OS, connected to private switch.

IP addressing for A is 172.16.0.1

for B 172.16.0.2

but I can't ping from A to B or B to A, there is no connectivity between them, any solutions

    Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    You can first check the following two aspects to troubleshoot network connectivity issues between virtual machines.

    1. Make sure both virtual machines are connected to the same private switch in Hyper-V Manager.

    And double-check that the subnet masks corresponding to the IP addresses of the two virtual machines are the same, for example (IP: 172.16.0.x, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0).

    1. Temporarily disable Windows Firewall on both virtual machines to see if it is causing the problem. Open Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall. Click "Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off" on the left sidebar. Select "Turn off Windows Defender Firewall" for both private and public networks.
