I tried using the MS translation service and discovered that it omitted the comma on particular phrases in the salutation and closing. It produces the same effect across all languages.

For example, in salutation, it omits the comma if it includes only one word, while in closing, there are specific phrases that omit the comma such "Thanks" and "Take Care".
