Hello,
I am trying to process some files using Document intelligence read service. While doing it Azure is taking more time (5 to 6 seconds/file). The average file size is around 200 kb.
We want to take this ahead on production. Can you suggest the way to reduce the processing time. Ideally it should not take that much of time considering the production volume. We are expecting it to complete the processing in 2 sec to cover the large volume.
We are using document intelligence version 4.0 ({endpoint}/documentintelligence/documentModels/{modelId}:analyze?_overload=analyzeDocument&api-version=2024-07-31-preview)
Please help in this.

To improve processing in the Azure Document Intelligence service, ensure you're using a region closest to your location and consider upgrading from the F0 tier to a standard tier to avoid TPS limitations.
Please see the service limits for free and standard tier from this page.Optimize your input data by reducing complexity and size, use a smaller or pre-built model, and leverage GPU acceleration. Additionally, batch processing multiple documents at once can improve overall efficiency. As your volume increases, you can also try splitting your documents and processing them in parallel for faster results.
