Inadvertently cancelled a running online recovery point job this morning. Ever since then if I try to "retry" or start a new one, in terminates at 31-33 seconds with basically no information. This is for a VM back. Currently backing up 2 VMs. The online recovery point job ran successfully this morning, but that was before I cancelled the other around 7:30. There is nothing in the logs, or windows event viewer that shows why.

The original recovery point job ran for 2 hours, 20 minutes before I cancelled it. Although if I look at it now in Status, it also says "0 MB" Data transferred.

Ran a consistency check, and it came back with "inconsistent, verification in progress."

The disk backup job took almost 4 days to run to backup around 8TB, so am not sure how long this will take. Looks like 2-4 days again. May need to cancel it and find another backup solution.

Another online recovery job for a different(much smaller) VM starting at the same time as the other, ran to completion just fine.

Any suggestions while I wait?

    • @Beitler, David - Thank you for contacting us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

Request you to restart the DPM services on MABS Server or restart the MABS server when there is no other job running on it. Once the services or server is restarted then try to trigger the job and it might works.

Also, as you mentioned that the data is around 8 TB so it will take time to enumerate the number of files due to which you will not see data transfer on MABS console. Request you to penitently wait for the job to complete and it should work without any issues.
