Are These Azure Migrate Prerequisites Sufficient for Migrating On-Premises Windows VMs?

I am preparing to use Azure Migrate to assess and migrate several on-premises Windows VMs to Azure. Below are the prerequisites I have gathered for the VMs. Could you please confirm if these are comprehensive and sufficient for a successful migration? If there are any additional requirements or best practices, please let me know.

Guest Operating System:

• Ensure that the VMware VM operating systems are supported for migration.
• You can migrate any workload running on a supported operating system.

Guest Operating System Architecture:

• The VM must be running a 64-bit operating system.

Operating System Disk:

• Maximum size: Up to 2,048 GB.
• Disk count: Only 1 operating system disk is supported.

Data Disks:

• Disk count: Up to 64 data disks are supported.
• Maximum size: Each data disk can be up to 32 TB.

Network Adapters:

• Multiple network adapters are supported.

Unsupported Features:

• Shared VHDs are not supported.
• Fibre Channel (FC) disks are not supported.
• BitLocker must be disabled before migration.

VM Name Requirements:

• Length: 1 to 63 characters.
• Allowed characters: Letters, numbers, and hyphens.
• The name must start and end with a letter or a number.

Post-Migration Connectivity (Windows VMs):

• Enable Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on the on-premises VM before migration.
• Ensure TCP and UDP rules are added for the Public profile and that RDP is allowed in Windows Firewall for all profiles.
• For site-to-site VPN access, enable RDP and allow it in Windows Firewall for Domain and Private networks.
• Verify that the operating system’s SAN policy is set to OnlineAll.

Azure Migrate Appliance:

• The appliance must be able to connect to various Azure service URLs for data upload and migration operations, including URLs for Azure portal navigation, identity management, resource management, and appliance updates.

Your list seems very solid and thorough to me. Consider performing a pilot migration with a few VMs to test the process and validate the configuration before proceeding with a full-scale migration.
