How to remove users from the login.microsoftonline.com Mask

I have several browser profiles in Edge and each profile needs another Microsoft Account:

  • My personal MS Account
  • My business normal account
  • My business Admin account
  • My second business normal account
  • ...

Each browser profile needs only a SINGLE profile. I never want to login with several users within the same profile.

However, each time I login in login.microsoftonline.com, I get a mask with several options:

It does not really matter which profile I use - all the time there is more than one option. And when I am clicking fast, I often chose the wrong profile.

Where is this information stored? I already deleted my cache, all data, reinstalled Edge - it always re-appears.

How can I remove all foreign user information from a single profile to keep just a single option in this field?

    Hello @davidelsner,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

As mentioned above, I understand that you have multiple profiles in Edge, with each profile logged in using different accounts. Whenever you access the Azure Portal, you're prompted to choose an account from the list of those you’ve previously logged into.

To streamline your login process, you've tried clearing your browser cache, deleting data, and even reinstalling Edge, but the account selection page still appears.

To resolve this issue, I recommend using the "Use My Current Account" Edge Addon. This extension will bypass the account selection screen by defaulting to the account associated with your current Edge profile.

The recommended way to use this is to use a separate profile in Edge for each AAD account you have and install this extension in each profile. Then go to the site you want in the profile you want, and you won't be prompted to login.

If you want to choose a different account, you can disable the functionality by clicking on the toolbar icon.

You can get "Use My Current Account" edge Addon here: Use My Current Account

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

    HI @davidelsner
If you mean to remove the login credentials, you can simply clear your browser's caches and cookies to remove it. However, if you mean to delete the conflict account, then you need to contact your organization's administrator to help to delete this account from your organization in the Microsoft 365 admin center > Users > Active Users page.

If you found it helpful do accept the answer.

    Hi @davidelsner ,

The account information is retrieved from the Windows-connected accounts. You just have signed them (work or school accounts) into Windows.

Rather than remove them, you might as well choose automatically signing with your current Edge profile account. This can be done by navigating to edge://settings/profiles/multiProfileSettings and turning on Automatically sign in to sites with your current work or school account? option.
