Azure VM CPU Usage becomes %100

I am using Azure Windows Virtual Machines to run my application. The VM type is Standard_B2s and Standard_D2as_v4. The VM configuration seems to be beyond my application's needs. At first, the vM can successfuly run my application but after some time, the CPU usage becomes %100.

In the task manager, I see that my application only takes %5-10 CPU however, the total CPU is %100 and my application cannot even run.

What could be the reason for this? How can I prevent this?

Performance issues occur in different operating systems or applications, and every issue requires a unique approach to troubleshoot. Most of these issues revolve around CPU, Memory, Networking, and input/output (I/O) as key locations where the issue occurs. Each of these areas generates different symptoms (sometimes simultaneously) and requires a different diagnosis and solution.

My problem persists. I used performance diagnostics, it reported that there is no data disk. I added a data disk, but the performance did not change.

From time to time, the CPU usage becomes %100 for quite a long time and hence my application will not run properly.

I am attaching a snapshot of the task manager.

Could you advise pls?

Thank you for the information provided.

According to your previous comment, only 10% of the CPU is being utilized by the application on that server, while the remaining 90% is being used by other processes. Please assess whether these processes are necessary.

If they are not required, consider stopping them to allocate more resources to your application.
