Cannot sync outlook 365 to sharepoint server 2016 contact list

SharePoint 2016 Contact List is connected to Outlook 365 Client app.

Every time it tries to sync (simple, pressing outlook F9 key) it returns:

Error (0x80040102) when running task SharePoint : Outlook cannot connect to the SharePoint list. The server may not be reachable from your location. For more information, contact the administrator of the SharePoint site. HTTP 301.

What can i do?

We are experiencing the exactly same issue and receive a similar error.

We have the following subscription:- Microsoft 365 E5

Sync between the Sharepoint Contact List and the Outlook 365 Contact Folder is lost after a few weeks and cannot be re-established.

I do the following to re-sync to Outlook so that I can again edit the Sharepoint Contact List directly from Outlook 365.

Delete synced Contact folder in Outlook 365

Remove the Sharepoint list from Account Settings / Data Files

Remove the list file from C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

Wait for a few days

Sync the Sharepoint Contact List again via Sharepoint list feature "Connect to Outlook"

As the sync is lost after a few weeks, I have to re-do this again and again. Any chance to keep the sync continuously set?

To change from Sharepoint Classic Experience to to New Experience does not help at all, as the the New Experience does not have anymore Contact List, nor does it allow to sync with Outlook 365.

Based on the error message you provided, it seems that Outlook is unable to connect to the SharePoint list. The error message suggests that the server may not be reachable from your location. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

Check your network connection to ensure that you are connected to the internet.

Verify that the SharePoint list is still available and accessible from your location. Reference: Outlook send/receive errors HTTP 0, HTTP 404, HTTP 500

Delete the SharePoint Online list or library from Outlook, and then reestablish the connection to Outlook. Reference: 0x80070005 error when you try to sync a SharePoint Online list in Outlook

I have the exact same issue. We have the following subscription:

Microsoft 365 E5

Since more than one year the sync between my contact list on Sharepoint and Outlook 365 breaks down every few weeks and produces the above mentioned error. I then completely remove the Sharepoint Contact list from the Account Settings (Data Files) and remove it from the \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook folder. After re-syncing the contact file via Sharepoint "Connect to Outlook" it works again for a few weeks.

Is there any solution to keep the sync established continuously?
