Why Doesn't Microsoft Phone Link Show Applications on Google Pixel 8 Pro

Is there a way to enable applications, such as camera, for pixel 8 pro? If not can I submit a suggestion to do so, thanks!Screenshot 2024-08-09 111434

Google Pixel devices, including the Pixel 8 Pro, do not have full compatibility with Microsoft Phone Link.

    Hello Nathan Bedard,

    Apps is available on select Samsung and HONOR, OPPO, and ASUS devices in select markets running Android 9.0 or greater that have Link to Windows pre-installed. 

    You can now use your linked Android device's camera as a webcam for PC applications. Phone Link requirements and setup - Microsoft Support

    Requirements for using this feature:

    A PC running Windows 11 or later

    Android devices running Android 9.0 or later.

    Link to Windows app version 1.24022.0 or later

    How to enable this feature?

    On your PC:

    • Open Settings
    • Navigate to Bluetooth & devices
    • Scroll down to Mobile devices
    • Click on Manage devices
    • If your Android device isn't linked yet, click on Add device to initiate the linking process
    • Your linked Android device will appear under My devices
    • Toggle on Use as connected camera to enable this feature

    Once your device is successfully linked to your PC, Use as connected camera feature is toggled on, it will appear as an available camera option in Windows Settings and other camera applications. Simply select your mobile device from the dropdown menu to access and utilize its camera functionality seamlessly.
