Hi,

I remotely connect a Mac (host) to a Windows computer using Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta (latest version). PC is used for professional audio production, so higher audio sampling rates or customized audio settings are required. Unfortunately, the audio output of the controlled Windows computer seems to be locked to "remote audio" and it does not support changing any audio settings. My NVIDIA High Definition Audio and ASIO or Realtek Audio drivers have been updated, but Remote Audio still occupies the audio output. Disabling Remote Audio in the Audio Input/Output options in Computer Management does not work.

Is there any way to customize the audio settings of Remote Audio, or disable Remote Audio completely to choose my audio output?

Thanks,

Yunjie Zhang

    Hello,

To configure your Remote Desktop settings:

    1. Open mstsc, then select Show Options.
    2. In the Local Resources tab, choose Remote audio and select your preferred options.
    3. Also in Local Resources, select Local device and resources.
    4. From there, choose Video capture devices and pick your desired settings.

I hope these instructions are helpful.
