Why Are User Profiles Being Created on the Domain Server When Users Login to their Workstations?

We have a strange situation. When domain users are logging into their Windows workstations, user profiles for those users are being created on the Windows Server 2019 domain server. The profile folders are in C:\Users folder. It's not doing this for all users, but about half. Even if I delete the profiles by going to the Control Panel->System and Security -> System -> Advanced System Settings ->User Profiles, they come back when the user logs in again. I want to emphasize, the users are not logging into the server, only their workstations.

What could be causing this?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

User profile generate in another server means that you are using the roaming profile. Here have three ways to make it work.

1.Open Active Directory Users and Computers -- find your User -- double click -- Profile.

You can see the path if you set the profile here

    2.Deploy roaming Profile:

    group policy path:

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > User Profiles

Deploy roaming user profiles | Microsoft Learn

3.Using registry--open registry -- find below path in this place you can see that how many users in your computer and where profile store

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

    Best Regards,
