My controller's left stick controls the volume up and down. How do I in some way disable this?

Just got an xbox controller from a friend and whenever I move the left joystick it will always change the volume of my computer. I looked for a way to disable this or take out the keybind, but I am not tech savy enough to really know what I am doing. I tried looking through the settings for both the xbox controller and my sound stuff and I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

You can change the controller mappings in the XBox app on your machine. Odd that the joystick changes the volume though. Do you happen to have Steam installed as well? If so then bear in mind that Steam also provides mappings for game controllers, including XBox. It is possible that you need to adjust the mapping in Steam instead.
