In the MDFC Portal, when we open the cost analysis blade, under Microsoft defender for cloud, in the Meter column, it has been mentioned as standard plan 1 and plan 2 nodes and the amount for these. However, only plan 1 has been enabled on the portal. I have not added any of the features from plan 2. So, what does this mean? Does this mean that I am being charged for both Plan 1 and plan 2?

Hi @Brynel Peter Libera (CONVERGYS CORPORATION) , if you are seeing both Standard Plan 1 and Plan 2 nodes in the Meter column of the cost analysis blade for Microsoft Defender for Cloud, it does not necessarily mean that you are being charged for both plans.

The Meter column in the cost analysis blade shows the usage and cost for each metered resource. In the case of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, the Standard Plan 1 and Plan 2 nodes are metered resources that are used to calculate the cost of the service.

If you have only enabled Standard Plan 1 in the portal and have not added any features from Plan 2, you will only be charged for the usage of Standard Plan 1 nodes. The cost for Plan 2 nodes will not be included in your bill unless you have explicitly enabled features from Plan 2.

To confirm this you can check the usage and cost for each metered resource in the cost analysis blade. If you are only seeing usage and cost for Standard Plan 1 nodes, it means that you are only being charged for Standard Plan 1 and not for Plan 2.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I can help you further.
