I've deployed a few models like gpt-35-turbo and gpt-4o. I want to start playing with gpt-4o-mini why I deployed that model in Azure OpenAI Studio. The deployment is a success but doesn't appear in the Deployment dropdown on Playground | Chat. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this model show up on the Chat page?
It's in westus. The Open in playground button on the deployment is also disabled:

I can see that "Open in playground" is disabled.
Do you have required permission? Could you confirm if you have required access to perform the operation on the resource?
Please ensure that your account have the Cognitive Services Contributor RBAC role permissions.
You can add the role to your Azure Open AI Resource from Azure portal.
Goto Azure Open AI Resource --> Access Control IAM -> Add role
Do let me know if that solves your issue.
I have two deployments of GPT-4o mini, yes. Deleting one doesn't enable the "Open in playground" button on the other deployment.
I also tried assigning my current user the Cognitive Services Contributor role. It doesn't change anything either.

It seems like the gpt-4o-mini model you deployed isn’t appearing in the Deployment dropdown on the Playground | Chat page. This could be due to a refresh issue or a delay in the model being fully integrated into the Playground interface. Try refreshing your browser or clearing the cache. If the issue persists, check that the deployment settings are correctly configured and consult Azure OpenAI support for further assistance.
This forum is what Azure is recommending for filing issues like these. The deployment has been there for a week or so without showing up in the playground, so I don't think a delay is the issue here.

Could you share the region where your model is deployed and the deployment type?
I just tried in East US as per the model availability as standard deployment and able to see the deployed model in the play ground.
@Thomas Ardal As per the model availability, **gpt-4o-mini **is not available in the West US currently. As per our discussion, you re able to create new deployment and able to access it in East US.
