Windows Server 2016 updates rollback after reboot (August 2024 updates KB5041773)

During the July patch update, my system also experienced a rollback. When I retried, I disabled IIS from starting automatically, which allowed the July patch to install successfully. I'm not sure if it was related to IIS, but doing that did result in a successful patch installation at that time.

However, with the August patch, the rollback issue has occurred again, and disabling IIS from starting automatically didn’t resolve the problem this time. Thank you for help.

    The issue has been resolved:

Before applying the patch, disable services that consume a significant amount of system resources, such as Tomcat and IIS, and set their startup type to "Disabled." After the patch installation, restore their configuration.
