What is the difference between the two?

Which one should be preferred?

This documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/multi-service-resource?pivots=azportal is referencing two the second one. So is the Azure AI services multi-service account the old option?

Hello @Nathanael Santschi , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

The Azure AI Services resource and the Azure AI Services multi-service account are two different ways to create multi-service Azure AI resources.

As per my knowledge, the main difference between the two is that the Azure AI Services resource is a newer option that allows you to create a single resource that can access multiple Azure Cognitive Services with a single key and endpoints for the respective service. On the other hand, the Azure AI Services multi-service account is an older option.

Using Azure AI Services multi-service account only one endpoint is created, for example: https://multiserviceresource.cognitiveservices.azure.com/

However, using Azure AI Services resource different endpoints for the respective service is created as shown here in the example:

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Vasavi
