How to fix issues with Azure App Services cost

Would anyone please explain to me why the charge for the Azure App Service is the highest in my subscription What does the Azure App Service do to justify such a high charge?

How can I lower the cost for the Azure App Service?

@Ilir Progri Costs with Azure App Service should be a fixed cost each month depending on the tier that you have selected.

Can you please check on your Azure App Service and share what tier you are using? A lot of entry level sites can probably get by on the basic tier. (Free and shared tiers are really only meant for dev/test scenarios). If your site has larger demands, you can check out the premium tier.

Lastly, if you navigate to your web app in the Azure Portal, you can select the scale up blade. From there you can select the correct size that fits your hardware needs and budget.

@brtrach-MSFT Thank you for your kind comment. I have a very small business site which does not require any app services.

Here is the information about the current Azure App Service tier:

Basic B1, 100, 1, 1.75, 10, 3, 99.95%, 0.075 USD, 54.75 USD

I certainly do not need nor use as much recourses that my tier level allocates.

The problem is that when I switched to pay as you go I was automatically entered into the Basic B1 level.

Is there a way to turn the service off when I do not need it to be on? That will reduce the App Service cost.
