Delete (completely remove Azure account), but keep microsoft account

I am using same e-mail for my Azure and Microsoft accounts. Since i do not need my Azure account i want to DELETE/BLOCK/REMOVE just want it to not be able to do anything with it, but i need to keep my Microsoft account, is that possible?
(the cancel subscriptions in Azure is not solution, i have allready cancelled everything and removed everything from it. I want it removed)

    Yes, it is possible to delete your Azure account while keeping your Microsoft account intact.

    To completely remove your Azure account:

    • Go to portal.azure.com and search for "Cost Management + Billing"
    • Select the subscription you want to cancel
    • Click on "Cancel subscription"

    Once the subscription cancelled is completed, your account will continue to exist for some time in archival mode to facilitate a reactivation of the account, if needed. After this, the archived account will be permanently deleted

    I don't think the answer is correct, because I did the same and now it's few months, still my account is active and accessible.
