Try run the Windows Update and install all updates.
If possible try connect using different IP and see if the problem persist?

Im connecting to my work server using RDP, all of a sudden last few days when i try to run certain programs on the server as administrator the RDP connection shuts down and the program doesn't open on the server.
It only started to happen a few days ago, im admin on the server and admin on my local machine.
It will open the program fine as a non admin (apart from visual studio which does it either way)
Anybody have any ideas why this may be happening?

Hi,
Thanks for the reponse.
It happens to any programs that also have an option to run as administrator. The same program run as normal opens fine. Also any other program runs fine.
After more investigation it seems its a problem with the RDP client on the Windows 10 machine and not on the server as i tried on another machine using Remote Desktop client and that was fine.
So in a nutshell for some reason on one Windows 10 machine the Remote Desktop client is cutting the connection everytime a program on the server is run as admin.
I cannot see any logical reason why it would do that, im only running the standard windows defender antivirus so its not a antivirus problem.
hi,
Could you dig into the event log and find is there any useful error messages?
