SCOM State widget dashboard group filter not working

Question

In SCOM 2019 dashboard's State Widget, when I apply group filter it does not show the members of the group. Class field is mandatory and when selected it does show the instances of the class. In order to limit the members I had created a group listing the filtered instances of the same class but when I select that group it does not show the members of the group. It just
