Azure AD Connect - Value was either too large or too small for an Int32

We recently ran into an issue where AAD Sync stopped synchronising to Azure. When loading the Azure AD Connect utility it simply shows a window stating the below:

"An error has occured on the Root page,

OverflowException

Value was either too large or too small for an Int32."

The software then closes, there is a log file but admittedly I can't make much sense of it. This simply happened out of the blue, one day it was working, nothing was changed and then it stopped syncing.

We have already tried reinstalling the software with the latest version, the usual troubleshooting of rebooting the DC it's installed on etc. We have since moved it to another DC but ideally would like it up and running as before.

You'll need to open a support case here - this isn't a common error, and despite working with AAD Connect for several years I've never seen it before.
