Hi all

Recently, my workplace had Windows 10 Enterprise workstations that freezes at the lock screen or show black screen after joined domain (Windows Server 2022) and restarted.

I am unable to perform control+alt+delete to get to the login screen and sometimes I am also unable to get to the safe mode.

May I know where to get specific logs related to GPO that causes the workstations to freeze?

    Hello,

Here are some steps to help you collect the necessary logs:

    Event Logs:

Press "Windows Key + R" and then type "eventvwr" and press Enter to open Event Viewer.

Navigate to "Windows Logs" > "System" and look for any errors or warnings at the time of the freeze.

Also navigate to "Windows Logs" > "Application" and look for any errors or warnings.

    Group Policy Operational Log:

This log specifically tracks Group Policy operations, which might indicate if a GPO is causing the problem.

In Event Viewer, navigate to Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > GroupPolicy > Operational.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu
