When you create or use Azure resources with API Management, you'll get charged based on tiers you're working in. You may also incur additional charges when you use other Azure resources with API Management, like virtual networks, availability zones, and multi-region writes. Normally you use the Azure pricing calculator to estimate costs before you add API Management.
To delete the service, see steps below:
- Log in to the Azure portal and In the search bar, type “API Management” and select “API Management services” from the results.
- Choose the API Management instance that is causing high costs (You can
- Check if any APIs or applications are dependent on this service to ensure it can be safely disabled or deleted.
- Click on “Delete” at the top of the API Management instance overview page.
- Confirm the deletion by typing the instance name and clicking “Delete” to permanently remove the service.
I will also recommend you look at the linked resources to API management in the resource group as well to remove
