Excel setting options not working properly.

Excel -> options -> Data -> Automatic data conversion options

I have checked the options then clicked on ok but once you go back to same setting you will find out that the options are themselves unchecked.

I have done the troubleshooting, also I have reinstalled my windows 11 and MS Office 2021 home and student but the problem still exists.

Does anyone have any idea what to do in this case.

Is there any bug in the excel?

    Hi @Ramanpreet Kaur

Since you said you are using MS Office 2021 home and student, this is a one-time payment version, it does not have new feature update.

In my opinion, Automatic data conversion options won't work in Office 2021. The release of this feature is later than the Office 2021 release date.

Automatic data conversion is a new feature for Microsoft 365 subscriptions, or one-time payment versions later than Office 2021, such as Office 2024.

    Thanks for your understanding.
