Hi,

I am very bad at all with this with Microsoft Azure and I tried calling in to Microsoft but it is impossible to reach the support because the AI is terrible. Anyway..

So I was trying to activate my MFA. Usually 2FA is super simple to activate, you press one button and then scan it with your phone with authenticator app, but no Microsoft has made a full maze of doing it correctly. So I have to ask if I had done it correct, how will it even work now when it is activated I do not even know?

I attached a photo of what I think is done correctly. What I wonder is, is it now done? Do I need to do anything else?

Currently I am using all this for https://portal.azure.com/#home and I have some api:s running through it (I did nor code it or set it up) so that is why I am a bit confused here.

Once again, is it all done now? Do I need to do anything else? I do not want my api setups to stop working.

    Hello @Joshua B,

Thank you for your time over call.

As we discussed, you were trying to register for MFA using the https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info page but encountered an issue during login because your personal account is linked with your GitHub profile.

To resolve this, we created another user account with global admin rights and tested whether you could register MFA methods with this new account. We successfully registered MFA for this user and made the necessary changes to your modern authentication method policies.

We also unchecked all verification options from the legacy per-user MFA blade and completed the migration process. Afterward, we enabled the Microsoft Authenticator method in the Modern Authentication Method Policy blade.

For your personal account, we used the link https://myaccount.microsoft.com/?tenant=<tenant_ID> to force authentication and direct you to the correct directory by specifying the tenant ID. This allowed us to successfully log in to the security info page and register MFA.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Actually your answer did not help at all from what I have explained. I got the same answer as the email.

I want to know if it is activated now or not? Can you not confirm it by the pictures or checking my account as you seem to work on Microsoft? And why is it impossible to call the biggest IT company in the World.

I also log onto Azure with Github, and on Github I have 2FA with normal autenthicator app. Which I scanned with a QR code. I do not know if that is enough?
