Timely fashion error

I am facing the below error:

"The request failed or service did not respond in a timely fashion"

How to fix it?

    There is too less information here. Please do some common steps to troubleshoot this issue.

    Go to SQL Server Configuration Manager and see if the required services are running.

    Check is TCP/IP is enabled.

    Check the firewall settings.

    If still not work, please check the error logs for more details.

    That depends on where you got that error message. But assuming that you attempted to start SQL Server, a start for the troubleshooting is to look at the SQL Server errorlog. Pay attention to whether is a log that correlates with the start attempt.

    If there is a log - see what causes SQL Server to give up.

    If there is no log - then this may be more of a Windows issue, check the Windows event log for errors.
