Trying to recreate Group Policy to map drives for specific user groups (on a new WinSvr 2022 Essential) When have GP editor open (and go to User Config, Preferences, Windows Settings, Drive Maps, create or open an entry, go to the Common tab, select Item-level targeting, then Targeting button) then New Item, Security Group, it defaults to Computer in group and cannot select User in group - it is greyed out. (on other servers could choose between User or Computer) Anyone have any idea why this might be restricted? Or how might be able to change this or work around it?

I have a workaround for this that should work for people that do GPOs alot.
Copy an existing GPO that has the user targeting applied to it, then just edit the name of the GPO and the targeted group.
This is not a fix, but I couldn't find a good workaround so I felt it was smart to post one to help out.

I am having the same problem. This was working up until a few days ago. Did a Windows update break this? EDIT: Windows Update IS INDEED the problem, once again.

No la desinstale. aplique windows update de una Cumulative update kb5042881
esta actualización me ha corregido el problema.
