Windows 2008 remote tools internal error seek help.

Question

An anomaly:

use in ping issue server host or ip address OK.

However, new users using MSTSC tools cannot successfully access it.

Users who log in to the OS before the problem occurs are not affected, and an error message as shown in the picture will pop up for users who are currently logging in

After multiple attempts, it was found that there are two ways to temporarily solve the problem.

1.Disable the network first and then reactivate it.

2.Replace the address information in the IPV4 protocol.

After the above two methods of operation, the host can restore MSTSC function, but the problem will occur again after a period of time.

At present, there is not much information available for retrieval, and we hope to obtain a long-term solution.

Based on the information you provided, I suggest you try the following methods:

1. Open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following command to enable the Remote Desktop Service to run automatically.

Set-Service TermService -StartupType Automatic

2. Open "Firewall and Network Protection". Click "Allow an application through the firewall".

Under "Allow an app to communicate through Windows Defender Firewall", make sure "Remote Desktop" has a check mark in the specific network type you are using.
