USB thumb drives ID issues

I have 2 USB thumb drives that are not working. It has been awhile since I dealt with them, but, just ran across them and want to fix them. As I recall, one of them has an ID that matches one of my HDDs. I am guessing that happened somehow when I was wanting to clone a partition to the USB drive. The other is missing the ID completely. Neither drive shows up in File Explorer, but, show up in Disk Manager and a couple of 3rd party partition managers. I have tried everything I can find online from trying to change the drive letter (there isn't one) to uninstalling/reinstalling to updating drivers to wiping and formatting the drive. Nothing is working. Also, in the past I was able to find information on how to determine what the ID is, but, I am not able to find that on the net again. So, how can I assign/reassign the IDs on these USB thumb drives in Windows 11 Pro?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Can you use this USB device in another computer to make sure the USB is working properly.

If it works, then it means that the problem is from your OS, may I know is there have any prompt when you plug in the USB device.

If not , it means the USB device is broken. You may need a new USB device.

    Best regards

    Yanhong
