Could someone please explain why do we need Global policy in Azure Portal -> AIP -> Policies?
The point is that I'm reading the official docs, but still can't understand how it influences the Office apps.
For example in "MS 365 Compliance" portal we have "Information Protection", where we have "Labels", and "Label Policies". And I can see how it affects the Office apps: I see the labels which I've identified in appropriate label policy. This is straightforward, and easy to understand and follow.
In contrast, there is no labels identified in Global policy in Azure Portal -> AIP -> Global Policy.
Why do MS have so many portals to manage and configure information protection/DLP/Labeling...:
- Azure portal;
- compliance.microsoft.com;
- security.microsoft.com;
- protection.office.com.
And how Global policy (in Portal) aligns with MS 365 Compliance portal, and other IP/DLP/Labeling portals?
Thank you.
