Do you mean the "Save As" windows would pop up if you enter letters via keyboard?
If yes, please search "On-screen keyboard" and open it, then click letter icons of On-screen keyboard for a test.

1 If the issue does not exist, please check the keyboard of your laptop.

2 If the issue still exists, I would suggest you run Word in safe mode.
Press Win+R to open Run dialog, enter winword /safe , click OK to open Word.

    • If the issue goes away, please go to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP, move the folders or files to other location temporarily.
And go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manager, COM Add-ins, Go > Clear the check boxes for any enabled COM add-ins, select OK.
    • If the steps above do not work, you may go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon > Customize > File Tab > Check whether there is any shortcut keys for those options started with "FileSave", and remove them for a test.
Generally "F12" or "Fn+F12" is the hotkey for "Save As".

Besides, please perform a Repair for Office from Control Panel.

Any issues, please let me know.
