Register Azure Migrate Appliance: Enter Code

I'm doing the appliance setup (VMware). I've got the appliance up and running, perquisites are good, my Azure account is an owner. I'm on step 2, Register with Azure Migrate. I've put in the correct key for the appliance.

When I click Login, a new Edge browser tab pops up and says "Enter Code" and below it "Enter the code displayed on your app or device." This does not want my MFA code from Authenticator. It didn't ask for username and PW first, either - just straight to Enter Code. Am I missing something obvious?

Have tried from different computers and via InPrivate. Not sure how to get it registered. Thanks!

In this case, the Login tab opened and since there was no action, it timed out.

Can you please refresh the web browser as that would enable the Login button again, clicking on which will open a login tab and you should see the device code to be entered as has been captured in the screenshot below:

While this fix has been taken for the time being, we are working on an inline UX change for showing the device code upfront as it no longer shows up automatically in the new tab that opens.

    Hi SadiqhAhmed,
Thanks for the input but what you suggested is where the problem is. I am trying to register the Azure Migrate appliance.

I've got the appliance (from the Azure Migrate project) up and running, perquisites are good, my Azure account is an owner. I'm on step 2, Register with Azure Migrate.

When I try to register the appliance, the page simply asks for a code (not a logon).

This is where I'm at. The retry button initially said "login" which prompts for the code (previous image).

Ahhhhhhhh. That code doesn't appear until that page is in the background - but then it disappears after the timeout, so I kept missing it.

The code used to appear on the new tab itself? If the new tab opened in the background, the code would be easier to spot, but maybe it's just me missing the obvious.

So if you got stuck like I did, the method is: "When you click the Login button, you'll be automatically taken to a new tab asking for a code. Come back to this tab to retrieve the code (it will appear below the Login button)."

    OK, thank you!!
