Hello,

We have a surge of users complaining of the following:

  1. Several use Start | Printers & Scanners which opens the Settings | Printrers & Scanners window.
  2. Users report that they used to be able to see the entire details of the printers. It seems like they were able to see the printer's Location or Comment. I'm unable to confirm because I can't recreate what they say they could formerly "see".

Is there any settings that can add/remove this from being listed, on either the Print Server or the Client workstation?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rudy

    Hi Rudy,
I roughly checked the screenshots you shared when open via application or printer and scanner. It seemed the printer names are the same but in different format. Is there any printer details that I have missed?

    Hi Jenny,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    1. Yes, the End Users experience this when they do Start | Printers and Scanners. (Please see image). The printers show up correctly when they are trying to print from an application. (Please see image when trying to print from Adobe). 2. The primary issue is with a manager trying to add printers. He says that when he tries to add a printer, he used to see the details. At th/api/attachments/48153-printing-view-from-an-application.jpgat?platform=QnA point he knew exactly which printer to add. Now, without the detail, he is unable to determine the correct printer to add.
    3. The Print Server is running Windows Server 2016 Standard. Client workstations are Windows 10 Professional (Build 19042).
    4. Besides this, everything is working normally.

    Thanks again for your assistance.

    Regards,
    Rudy
