How exactly the default language is setup for OneDrive for Business

Hello,

Due to the changes introduced by MS regarding the addition of "Recordings" folder on user OneDrives, we've got our own Recordings folder added for all users on their OneDrive.

However, the folder was added in German language by default for all the users including US, APAC zone irrespective of their location.

Folder's name is Aufnahmen (Recordings in English).

Our default Organization language is set to English and the region or Country is set to Germany.

Also, I created a test user on the On Prem AD and synced it to the cloud and assigned an E3 license. User's Usage Location is the US

Preferred language was set to en-US on the On-Prem side. As soon as the Recordings folder was pushed, it was again in German language.

I checked the language settings on the OneDrive and the default language shown is German. Rest of the languages are additional.

What I'm trying to find out is how exactly the default language is set for OneDrive and how it was set to German in this case.

What we can do to set English as the default language for the users to be licensed in the future?

    To set the language of OneDrive of Business:

    Go to the user’s account profile -> Settings & Privacy -> Language & Region -> Set English as display language.

    Log in with the user’s account, go to OneDrive of Business admin center, Language and time zone settings, set English as display language.
