Taking an exam that is retiring in January

Hello,

I just scheduled myself to take the exam 70-742 before the retired date, and I have a question regarding the future exams that goes with the MCSA track.

If I were to pass the 70-742 exam, will this count towards the new Azure MCSA track? If I were to take the new exams, will the 70-742 count towards it, or will I need to retake the newer Azure version of the 70-742?
