Excel file cannot open in Teams but can open in other choices

Our manager cannot open any Excel file in Teams. just spins.

However on clicking ellipsis and choosing to open in Excel or web, or download, everything works. When opening in desktop app or web, he is able to save and edits are viewable to all

Same with going to Files in Teams and then viewing via Sharepoint ellipses everything works except view inside Teams.

I've already uninstalled, deleted appdata Teams folder, reinstalled.

Also Teams on the web works fine too. Only the Teams desktop app cannot open Excel inside Teams

    Does this issue persist all the time? Or what changes does this manager do before issue happened?

    Does your manager try in other machines?

    Does anyone else in your organization have the same issue?

    If the manager uploads an Excel file to Teams by himself, could he open it in Teams?

    Except the Excel file, try to open other type of Office files, such as word, ppt, etc.

    Besides, it recommends you to Perform a clean boot to exclude whether a background program is interfering with Teams.
