Has anyone else noticed lockups with Excel 365 (on Version 2020: Build 12527.21330 Click-to-Run) when a very large xlsx file is opened or saved to that's located on the desktop using the latest version of FSLogix (2.9.7621.30127)? We did not have this issue on the previous FSlogix release but have had users complain about Excel locking up ever since we moved to this release. Fell back to the older release and same xlsx files work fine.

Do you find xlsx file is larger than how many size will cause problems?

Not sure exactly what size triggers the issue, but the test file I used is a matrix of 1000x576 entries with no formulas or calculations at 1.7mb total.

Is anyone else having an issue with Excel 365 freezes or hangs on WVD

Are you sure that this issue only relates to Excel files?
Did you try to save other files to the desktop?
If you open a Excel file right after login, and then saves it immediately.
Does it still freeze?

We've also had this happen with other files, such as large Word files, but freezing is not as consistent or as frequent as Excel files. Outside of Office 365 we didn't have any reports of freezes, such as Adobe Pro, but very few employees have Adobe Pro.
Just tried opening and saving a file as soon as it booted and it froze on save.
Same issue on Version 2.9.7654.46150. Excel freezes on save on desktop.
Experiencing the same issues with Excel files in SharePoint on WVD Spring (FSLogix 2.9.7654.46150). When accessing the same Excel file in SharePoint on WVD Classic (FSLogix 2.9.7435.35269) this is OK. Has someone logged a case with MS Support?
By any chance are you using SentinelOne for your AV?
it seemed (at least for us) once we updated to the latest version of the SentinelOne client (we're currently using 4.6.2.144) that the issue disappeared.
We're still monitoring the situation to see if it returns in a newer client, but so far so good.
No, just Microsoft Defender.
The Users didn't face the issue today. What has changed? - Microsoft updated the WVD Agent overnight on all Hosts.

Never made a case for it, since we just rolled back to the older version on our main image and were testing the issue on our test build (while dealing with other non-related issues) At one point we updated to a then early access version of SentinelOne and couldn't reproduce it afterwards.
we recently updated our main image to the general release of SentinelOne on our main image with the latest fslogix for about two weeks now and so far no calls.
