Hi,

We have a question internally, that can we create a alias (mail.domain.com) name for an office 365 SMTP address in our internal AD for our applications to relay an emails instead of using "smtp.office365.com". is it possible?

Thanks
Pavan.

    Sure, why not. The name resolution will take place at the client level so it should work fine as long as the app can resolve it

    @pavan kumar

    Agree with AndyDavid. This could work in theory if mail.domain.com points to smtp.office365.com successfully, and the application can resolve from mail.domain.com to smtp.office365.com.
