Updating ccmsetup.exe group policy after upgrade?

We recently upgraded to 2006 and we have a group policy that installs the client. It is currently installing the old client and the folder on the site server that we grabbed the file from still has the old version as well.

Did we miss something during the upgrade that would have given us a newer version of the ccmsetup.exe?

    Hi @My9to5 ,

    Maybe you have not yet promoted the 2006 ConfigMgr client as a Production client, you can enable auto-upgrade of clients once done and all old clients will be upgraded.

    Which path are you using on your group policy?

    For more details:

    @My9to5

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    1. To take full advantage of Configuration Manager 2006 new features, after you update the site, it is recommended that we also update clients to the latest version. As agreed with YoussefSaad, we could use the automatic upgrade method to upgrade our clients.
    2. Could we know how many clients are suffering from this situation? Did we checked the ccmsetup.log on our client already? The client upgrade details may records in it. Have a nice day!
