Have you tried uninstalling.reinstalling and updating sound driver?
If not, then do that first.
Run audio troubleshooter-see if that fixes the issue.
Open Sound settings and check the box against audio enhancements checked or not.

Every time I click on something that makes a ''click'' sound the whole sound gets quieter and a few seconds later it goes back to normal. I notice this problem tremendously when gaming. As soon as loud noises occur, the sound becomes quiet, as if the PC had to compensate for the noises. When I restart the PC everything works normally. I don't know how to describe the problem further, but maybe you can help me already.
