08-2024 Updates Break Remote Desktop Gateway Servers

Hi
We have encountered an issue with Server Remote Desktop Gateway after the August 2024 patch update. with 2 IDs: 7031 and 1000. This was happening again with the previous July patch. We then removed the July patch and it worked fine, then installed the August patch which caused the same issue.

Simon 5 Reputation points2024-08-28T06:37:25.7166667+00:00 Same here. We skipped the Juli update on our RDS GW Servers exactly because of this issue. But we have also been experiencing this problem since the August update with Server 2016 Gateways.
Right bevore the 1000 Event you mentioned, we see also the Event-ID 700 of TerminalServices-Gateway with exceptioncode 3221225477We will uninstall the Update to fix the issue, since the Workaround with disabling Port 3388 IMHO will not help in our environments, since we do not even forward that Port to the Gateway on the Firewall.
