    Hello Samarth Malkhare,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your system that might be related to malware or other system corruption. Here are a few steps you can take:

    1.Restart the Scan:

Sometimes scans can get stuck due to various reasons. You might want to restart your system and try running the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    2.Safe Mode:

Try running the Microsoft Safety Scanner and Windows Defender in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can help prevent malicious software from interfering with the scan.

To enter Safe Mode, restart your computer and press F8 (or Shift + F8 on some systems) before Windows starts. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking."

    3.Alternative Antivirus Tools:

Try using another reputable antivirus tool to scan your system. Some options include Malwarebytes or Kaspersky Rescue Disk.

4.System Restore: If the problem started recently, you might be able to use System Restore to revert your system to a point before the issues began.

To access System Restore, type "System Restore" in the Windows search bar and follow the prompts.

5.Check Startup Programs: Disable unnecessary startup programs which might be causing the problem.

You can do this by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager, then going to the "Startup" tab and disabling suspicious entries.

6.Review Scheduled Tasks: Investigate any suspicious scheduled tasks.

Open Task Scheduler by typing "Task Scheduler" in the Windows search bar, and review the tasks for anything unusual.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
