Hi everyone,

I'm trying to sign up for Azure Machine Learning using my Azure for Students Starter subscription, but I'm encountering an error during the validation process. The specific error message I receive is:

"Validation could not be completed due to an error."

I've tried a few things, but the issue persists. I’m located in France and have been attempting to create resources in the France Central region.

Does anyone have experience with this issue or suggestions on how to resolve it? Could it be related to my subscription type, or is there something specific I need to do when creating resources with a student subscription?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Benny Greetings & Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

"Validation could not be completed due to an error."

Could you confirm when are you receiving this error? Is it while creating the Azure Machine Learning resource or while creating an account with the subscription?

How exactly are you creating Azure ML resource?

As per my understanding, you are using the Azure for Students Starter subscription.

As mentioned here, it is the basic Student plan which supports only basic service but does not include Azure Machine Learning services. You can use Azure for students subscription instead.

With Azure for Students, eligible customers receive $100 in credits, which can be used within 12 months on most Azure products. Any unused credits cannot be carried over to subsequent months and cannot be transferred to other Azure subscriptions.

If you exhaust your available credits, your Azure subscription will be disabled. You may then upgrade to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription by contacting Azure Support. This allows continued use of Azure.

Do let me know if you have any further queries.
