Pasting excel table into powerpoint

Whenever I copy a table from Excel and paste it into powerpoint the last row ends up with highlighting. The last row in Excel does have shading but when I paste it into powerpoint it also ends up with highlighting that is in the same shade. I have to select the cell and select I highlight because it messes with the appearance of my tables borders. Any ideas?
