Teams not showing thumbnails from links shared from Facabook

Hello everyone

I am having problems with Teams on PC and Mobile, both do not show thumbnail videos shared from Facebook. Not all do not show thumbnails, but it happens a lot. But videos shared from YouTube to Teams are normal.

I use both corporate and personal accounts. I have also tested on the web + app of my Laptop and on the web + app of my phone and all have the above error.

Could you please tell me: have you tried to click on the link for login operation, and then check whether the shrinkage diagram is displayed?

In Microsoft Teams, there may be several reasons for linked previews that sometimes not display video shrinkage. Please try the following possible solutions:

Clear Teams cache:

Check the video format: View the ability of the video shrinkage map may also depend on the video format, ensuring that the video format is a common format supported by Teams (such as MP4). According to our test, the first link you provided is the transit link, so it will be displayed as a logo.

Use Teams web version: If there is a problem with the desktop version, you can try to use Teams's web version to see if you can display the video tap map normally. https://teams.microsoft.com/v2/

I tried all 2 method. And using team web. But is not work.

According to the attached image. When sharing the link, this thumbnail appeared in the Facebook app, but the recipient in Teams still did not see this image.

When Microsoft Teams does not display thumbnails for links shared from Facebook, there may be several reasons:

Link preview settings: Make sure the link preview feature is not disabled. You can check whether the link contains appropriate Open Graph metadata, such as title, description, and thumbnail. The lack of these metadata may prevent the preview from being displayed.

Authentication issues: If the shared link requires user authentication, Teams may not be able to generate a preview. In particular, links shared from mobile phones require authentication to be previewed from the computer, which may cause this problem.

Browser compatibility: Make sure you are using a supported browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
