Afaik, opening the Group mailbox directly is not supported in OWA.

Hello,
How can we build URI which will open group mailbox on Outlook Web App?
Templates which work most of the time are:
- https://outlook.office.com/mail/group/*{domainName}*/*{userName}*/email
or - https://outlook.office.com/?modurl=0&path=/group/*{groupEmailAddress}*/mail
However it does not work for some groups.
When opening groups form the sidebar menu, the URI matches the first template, but refreshing the page redirects to user inbox instead of the group mailbox.

I cannot share the one which does not work since it is owned by one of our customers.
Sadly, we cannot reproduce the issue on our tenant.
