I kept getting a "Windows needs your credentials" notification after unlocking my screen in Windows 10, so I finally decided to disable notifications for "Winlogon" by clicking the gear on the notification and clicking disable notifications.
I regret doing that so I wanted to re-enable them, but "Winlogon" doesn't show up in the "Notifications & Actions" settings. I can't find how to enable them, so it must be something in the registry. Does anyone know how to re-enable the "Winlogon" notifications?
I figured it out. I tracked down where the notification settings are stored in the registry, which is:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings
Once I found that, I found the one that had the Enabled value set to 0, which was Microsoft.Explorer.Notification.{579F4729-1ECF-6F8C-AE55-8198BB56AE33}. I deleted the "Enabled" value from that and the notifications came back.
Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of the notification. I appears when connected to my companies network over VPN.
I probably should have mentioned, I only get that message when logging in with anything other than the actual password and only when on a VPN into my corporate network.

Local group policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon > Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon - Enabled.
