These documents are almost certainly going through some other format and are losing the PAGE fields. Dynamic page numbers in Word are PAGE fields usually in the footer.

Hi,
I haven't managed to find a solution to my issue with MS Word. When I am getting documents from other accounts, my account do not recognise theirs page numbering formatation, literally just showing at a spot of page number ''2(2)'' or ''2'' on all the document pages. When I am sending back theirs documents, they are having same issue, pages has lost they numbering and becoming faulty, showing same numbers on all the pages such as "2" or "2(2)".
Hope you can help me out.

Just wondering how can I reset default format in order to avoid these issues (both Word accounts, mine and another users are up to date, he doesn't have any issues with formatation and page numering except me).
By the way, I didn't change any setting on Word, just kept it as it was from the beginning.

I do need to get documents with it's page numbering formation made by another user, however when I am getting these documents their page numbering is faulty for my account and usually just show number 2 on all the pages of documents.
Maybe someone has any ideas how can I change and what I need to change in my account settings (not changing each received document without knowing it's original formatation.

If editing will be necessary, make sure that all editors are using the same software, preferably the locally installed version of Word.

Documents which I am receiving they do need changing, however since I am getting them, order of page numbering is faulty.
What is strange, if I am watching these word documents through my gmail account everything is fine until these documents has been downloaded.
Another editor (author of the documents) using same up-to-date word version and is from the same region.

2021-01-17T14:48:30.497+00:00 How were page numbers created initially? If these are multi-section documents with typed numbers, a lot of manual "intervention" will be required to clear them up of course.
