Mailbox created during Hybrid Configuration Wizard Configuration

During the installation of the Hybrid Configuration Wizard, on Exchange 2016, it appears that a mailbox was created and attached to the domain administrator account that was used to run the HCW tool. This was not the built in administrator account. The mailbox was created on an Exchange 2016 DB. Exchange 2016 was deployed into an Exchange 2010 environment for the purposes of a migration to Office 365. All other mailboxes reside on Exchange 2010 and no other mailboxes are on Exchange 2016. Is there any way to explain why running the HCW, in the scenario described above, would cause a mailbox to be created for the domain account used to run the HCW tool?

    Do you mean the account which used in this step below:

    In this step, you just need to use an Exchange on-premises admin account. The Exchange administrator account does not necessarily need an email address, you just need to add this AD account into those groups:

    Then, you will could use this AD account to run HCW successfully:

    The running of HCW will not enable mailbox for this AD account:
